Welcome to LATVIAN WINE OF THE YEAR 2026!
Once again, in very respectable jury company, we will set out to find the best imported wines available in Latvia – from sparkling to white, red, dessert and fortified wines. The full, beautiful spectrum. As last year, we will also continue to shine a light on Latvia’s Fine Wine shelves – the serious stuff, in other words – and keep judging the already launched Non-Alcoholic Wines and Natural Wines categories.
How to submit wines?
We invite Latvia’s best wine importers to submit their wines for the competition by 30 June.

When will the judging take place?
The judging will take place from 28 to 30 July.
The results will be announced in September, while the annual wine lover’s guide will appear in the October issues of SANTA and KLUBS magazines – your autumn bottle-hunting map, neatly served.
Who will judge?
An international jury led by Andrew Jefford (Co-Chair of the Decanter World Wine Awards) evaluates nearly 500 wines each year, awarding , , , and medals.
When can we taste the winners?
The winning wines will be available to discover and taste in one place on 21 November 2026 at the Riga Wine & Champagne festival’s TOP 100 WINES + CHEFS parade. Tickets are already available!
