Special Guests:
Peter Liem, guest and friend of Riga Wine & Champagne since the festival’s founding in 2012. Liem created the world’s most comprehensive Champagne guide, champagneguide.net, has contributed to the most prestigious wine publications, and authored what may well be the best book ever written on Champagne: Champagne: The Essential Guide to the Wines, Producers, and Terroirs of the Iconic Region (2017).
Arnaud Gallimard, representative and sixth-generation winemaker at Champagne Gallimard. At the family estate, founded in 1930 and based in the village of Les Riceys in the heart of the Côte des Bar, Arnaud works alongside his father Didier. He practices sustainable viticulture and winemaking, and the estate stands out for its bold technical decisions — from ageing wines in Tuscan clay amphorae to using a solera system for reserve wines. Champagne Gallimard representative in Latvia: AlkOutlet.
Étienne Calsac, winemaker and founder of Champagne Etienne Calsac. Having taken over his grandparents’ vineyards in the village of Avize (Côte des Blancs), he built his own estate and has become one of the most notable independent grower-producers. His style is based on the use of natural yeasts and oak ageing (élevage), creating mineral, precise Champagnes that vividly reflect the unique character of each vineyard. Representative in Latvia: Truff Le Pig.
Francis Orban, fourth-generation winemaker and owner of Champagne Francis Orban, located in the heart of the Marne Valley (Leuvrigny). Here, the house style is defined by the region’s leading grape variety – Meunier. Francis has crafted a polished and authentic expression that allows the fruit and elegance of Meunier to fully reveal themselves. Representative in Latvia: Noble Wine.
Grégoire Cabanel, Export Director of Piper-Heidsieck & Rare Champagne. Born in northern France and later moving to Reims to study, he has worked in Champagne for more than eight years. Since August 2025, he has represented Piper-Heidsieck, one of the world’s most renowned and awarded Champagne houses. His work is defined by deep regional knowledge and a commitment to the prestige of Piper-Heidsieck and the refinement of Rare Champagne. Representative in Latvia: MV GROUP Distribution LV.
Laetitia Davoine, Sales and Export Manager of Albert Doulet. She represents the estate founded in 1989 in the Limoux area of Languedoc-Roussillon. At the festival, Laetitia presents Cuvée Prestige — a sparkling wine aged for five years, made from low-yield Chardonnay, Chenin, and Pinot Noir vines, distinguished by a perfect balance of freshness and southern warmth. Albert Doulet representative in Latvia: AlkOutlet.
Marine Roupsy, Regional Manager of the Champagne house Laurent-Perrier. Born in Champagne, Marine has purposefully built her career in the wine and beverage world. After gaining experience in the spirits industry, she joined Laurent-Perrier in 2014. The house is known for its pioneering spirit and innovative approach to winemaking, creating legendary Champagnes that combine elegance, freshness, and refinement. Representative in Latvia: Amber Distribution.
Mickaël & Aurélie Rodez, ninth-generation winemakers and owners of Champagne Rodez. The estate is located in the famous village of Ambonnay, where they farm six hectares of Grand Cru vineyards. The Rodez family are pioneers in sustainable winemaking, highlighting the generosity and power of Ambonnay Pinot Noir. Their style combines oak barrel work with specific techniques to preserve freshness, producing refined Champagnes with a distinct sense of origin. Representative in Latvia: VIETA.
Pascal Agrapart, winemaker and owner of Champagne Pascal Agrapart, one of Champagne’s most vibrant and beloved figures. Agrapart crafts breathtaking Champagnes from his own grapes at home in Avize, in the very heart of Chardonnay country, the Côte des Blancs, with family vineyards spanning over a dozen hectares in neighboring villages such as Cramant, Oger, Oiry, and beyond. Representative in Latvia: Baltic XL.
Jean-Pierre Vazart, winemaker and head of Champagne Vazart-Coquart. Born into a winegrowing family and educated in Avize, he took over the estate from his father in 1995. A perfectionist, Jean-Pierre works exclusively with his own vineyards in one of Champagne’s finest Grand Cru villages — Chouilly. His approach is rooted in precision and terroir understanding, producing structured, honest Champagnes that clearly reflect both Chouilly and the winemaker’s personality. Representative in Latvia: Wine Collectors.
Julien Lardy, Chef de Caves of Champagne AR Lenoble. He gained experience at prestigious estates including Ramonet (Burgundy), Clos du Caillou (Rhône Valley), and the Champagne houses Mumm and Perrier-Jouët. Under his direction, AR Lenoble remains one of the rare independent family houses, unique for its tradition of ageing reserve wines long-term in magnums under natural cork, giving them a rare balance of freshness and aromatic depth. Representative in Latvia: Kabinett.
Gilles de la Bassetière, President of Champagne de Venoge. Under his leadership, the house founded in 1837 has regained its historic brilliance, becoming synonymous with refined lifestyle and high winemaking artistry.
